Dutasteride hair mesotherapy is a minimally invasive medical treatment that deposits small amounts of the active ingredient through superficial microinjections in the areas of the scalp to be treated.
Dutasteride acts on the 5-alpha reductase enzyme and reduces the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is associated with the progressive miniaturisation of follicles in genetically predisposed people.
The aim is to help stabilise alopecia, strengthen existing hair and improve its density and quality. Progress is gradual, and response depends on the diagnosis, the stage of alopecia and individual characteristics.
